Office Automation System Based On Workflow Technology Research And Applications

This article summarizes the work principle of OAS on the theories of information science, system science and behavior science with the experience of OAS development. The work principle of OAS is that office business is been broken down into well-defined tasks, roles, rules, processes to realize the processes of office files' being transmitted, transacted, log-recorded, committed and pressed automatically. A set of models is provided basing on this OAS principle to assist and direct the OAS development process. They are: 3-D Information System Model which can simplify and standardize all the demanded details during the OAS development, and classify the contexts scientifically and systemically, Workflow 3-L Process Model which can normalize the office business process on the basis of office actualities in our country, OAS Development Reference Model which defines the stages during OAS development and the tasks in different stages. This article also creates a set of logical templates designed by Domino. For OAS's running safely and securely this article particularly discusses computers and network's management in OAS. Directed by these theories, methods and models, this article designs and realizes an OAS for Hunan Province Prison Management Bureau. This OAS is running well. Finally this article summarizes its features, and prospects the foreground of OAS with a concept model between two OASs on different development flats.
