Along with the course of development of our country modernization and citizen, the left-behind children in rural areas is the inevitable product, due to without parents in a long-term life, left-behind children learning situation, by the media’s influence degree, school and guardian media literacy education absence, not only affect their individual healthy growth, but will affect the entire the harmonious development of society.How to strengthen and improve the rural left-behind children’s media literacy, improve their critical and sceptical to choose, receiving, evaluating media information ability, training to adapt to the modern media society needs all-round talents, will become an up-to-date and challenging subject in the present era.This paper applies text analysis, interview and case study methods, based on media literacy, the left-behind children in rural areas and its research scope, carding and reference at home and abroad on this topic research results, summarized the left-behind children media literacy status, analysis of the traditional media and Internet media on Left-behind Children’s influence, these problems of localization, reasonable suggestions and countermeasures.The results found, on the left-behind children’s media literacy education, the existence of guardian media literacy, school and society the lack of media literacy education is not in place, the left-behind children’s use of the media method and the lack of skills and other practical problems.
