With increasing pressure of 3D TV marketing cost, it becomes a heated topic among China's household appliance enterprises on how to present 3D products with high cost efficiency, improve its market competitiveness and occupy more market shares.Realization of cost optimization via technology upgrading has become a main trend for technology research and development in China's household appliance enterprises. According to the current situation of Guangdong Changhong'3D TV market, this thesis probes on designing a type of low cost 3D TV, which meets the market's needs and compensates for 3D product series of Guangdong Changhong, so as to improve its market competitiveness. With technology upgrading and use of software, transformation of 2D to 3D and Time Zone functions can be achieved. Combining with the problems occur during production process, structure design of products will be optimized and the systemic cost of a complete appliance will be the most optimal.Based on Changhong's new product 3D-LED42868, through upgrading 3D TV and cost optimization, BOM cost is optimized, production efficiency is improved, labor cost is reduced, and systemic cost of complete appliance is optimized, which achieves good effect. Through analysis of 3D technology market, mainstream technology in 3D TV market is studied. Through analysis of existing Changhong 3D PDP-TV framework design, a cost-effective solution based on Mstar6M182 is made, which successfully develops 3D LED products. Meanwhile, with UCD management and combination of characteristics of household appliances industry, the project is under development and management, and benefits of the project is maximized, which achieves good effect in the market. This thesis is concerned with the most popular 3D TV products and is of good practical value. Meanwhile, it provides with a guideline for the future of 3D TV technology upgrading and systemic cost optimization of complete appliance.
