As China enters the special transition of economic and social, the structure of social interests and interest groups have came to be increasingly diversity, a great variety of contradictions and conflicts in political, economic, cultural and other fields of transition have been growing, compared with last century, the scale and number of the crisis in contemporary society have rised significantly, such as the SARS crisis in 2003, bird flu crisis in 2004, the world-wide financial crisis in 2008, the ice disaster of China south in 2008,"5.12" earthquake of Wenchuan in 2008, "7.15" turbulence in Xinjiang in 2008 and so on. These crises does not only exert a serious impact on the people's daily life and social operation, but aslo threaten the harmony and stability of society. Nowdays, With the popularity of the Internet, the effect sphere of crises are not limited to national borders, furthermore, rising issue stem from crisis communication speed, scope, content, and the new mode of interactive communication challenges the crisis management mechanism of traditional.Public crisis from the perspective of Internet, which not only has exerted far-reaching influence on the government traditional public crisis management, but also has brought about unprecedented challenges to the government's administrative ability. Therefore how to view the role and effect of Internet media in public crisis management, how to clarify the relation between the Internet and public crisis, all of these questions are the paper study as the mainly content and significance. The author intends to analyze the following issues:what are the differences between the Internet communication and traditional media in the context of public crisis? Thereby, such differences how to influence in terms of the public crisis communication and management? Finally, for these differences and emerging issues, we study the government regarding how to take various of measures and actions to response? Generally, The paper can be divided into the following sections:The first part is introduction, mainly describes the background of topic, the history and current literates of topic of domestic and foreign scholars, and the research content, research methods, innovation points and so on.The second part aims to study the the reasons of public crisis on the foundation of some definition of public crisis.The third part is to analyze the new features of Internet communication based it's current situation are different from the traditional media in public crisisThe fourth part is to explore the mechanism of Internet communication and management of public crisis, combined with a case of Wenchuan earthquake, then make further analysis for its successful emergency response and internal principleThe fifth part would put forward some recommendations and proposals in association with management science and communications to address emerging problems of public crisis management from the perspective of Internet.This dissertation used many methods, such as the Interdisciplinary research method, the case study method, chart analysis method to analyze the government how to handle the public crisis in network society. First of all, due to the randomicity of crisis events, fieldwork is not available, so the paper focus attention on the some works and papers of other scholars, and cite a collection of their views and data material, then refine my own ideas. Secondly, analyzing how to conduct a cooperation between the government and the media thereby take positive reactions to the crisis from the case of 2008 Wenchuan earthquake. Thirdly, the paper turns the boring and tedious analysis process into intuitive charts, so the reader can grasp the logical structure of the article more clearly by the way of chart interpretation.
