The Comparative Research On Readers' Reading Tendency Of Different Type University Libraries In Digital Time

This paper investigates and compares with the readers'reading tendency on the university libraries of "985" project,"211" projects ordinary undergraduate university and independent institute by Nanjing University,Nanjing Agricultural University Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology and Binjiang College for example by using questionnaire survey method.The investigation contents include readers'basic situation,readers'satisfaction with collection paper resources,the situation of readers using electronic resources and using the physics library; and the investigation objects include teacher,graduate students and undergraduate students.There are 1200 pieces of questionnaire provided to the four universities,and each university receives 300 pieces.The amount of recycled questionnaire is 1176, the returning-ratio is 98 percent and they are completely effective.The data of recycled questionnaire is input the EXCEL software and counted by using the statistical function of its,and the statistical result is obtained.The statistical result indicates that there has the homoplasy on readers'reading tendency.①Undergraduate students tend using paper books and periodicals, graduate students and teachers tend using electronic periodicals and paper books;②Literature carrier often used is electronic resources by readers except the undergraduate students of Nanjing University;③Literature type often used by undergraduate students is book, by graduate students and teachers is periodicals and degree thesis;④The readers often using physics library are undergraduate students, graduate students and teachers are the biggest users of library on-line;⑤The times of readers participating in training are not many,and the efficiency of training is not good.It is easy to see that readers'reading tendency has the differences according to the statistical result.①University type causes the differences of readers'reading tendency.③Reader type causes the differences of readers'reading tendency;③Resource layout causes the differences of readers'reading tendency;④Service level causes the differences of readers'reading tendency;⑤Management level causes the differences of readers'reading tendency.The statistical results are analyzed that there are the differences and general character among different type university libraries, and there are also objective and subjective factors.This paper proposes the enlightenment and suggestion on different type university libraries.
