Design And Implementation Of The Virtual Prototype Model Library Management System

In recent years, with an increasing demand for the new product development manufacturing and technology developing of various disciplines, the virtual prototype technology which focus on system modeling and simulation technology has developed rapidly.Along with the maturing of virtual prototyping technology, it has been used in every walk of life,as time goes by, a series of related virtual prototype products has been amassed in every walk of life. Therefore, reasonable management and utilization of the developed function models and less repetitive development in the process of developing complex product virtual prototype could efficiently improve the virtual prototype product development, and thereby promote the development of this technology.By studying on the virtual prototype models management related technology, such as collaborative development process, product data management technology and so on, combining its demand for the function and properties, we proposed a model base management method based on the combination of the associative relations and the technology described as above, through which the development efficiency of virtual prototype product could be improved.According to the design objective and design principles of the system, we established an overall framework of the virtual prototype model base management system and completed the division of the system functional modules, design of database, design of version control component, design of functional modules and design of general framework.We concluded the crucial problems encountered in the process of designing and developing of the virtual prototype model base management system as following: the sharing of the virtual prototype model base files, the storing of virtual prototype model base files, the problems of model system management based on the associative relation and the securities of the virtual prototype model base, additionally, the corresponding solutions combined with system operating environment are given in this paper.The virtual prototyping model library management system was developed by the C/S architecture and distributed solution based designing, using three layer structure form including the presentation layer, logic layer and data layer, and combining Web Service technology, Dot Net Framework technology, version control technology ,database and other development technology together. Finally, the system was achieved after a large number of coding works.The system has gone through the users'testing and acceptance, ran in good condition and obtained users'affirmation and recognition.
