As another international festival after Beijing Olympics, Shanghai Expo also become a global media event. Not only the Chinese mainstream media ,but also the wester ones have paid attentions to it.Does the mainstream media of China has a frame effecting on that of wester.What's the differences and similarities between both of them and why it is.what do we learn from it when we host such other event. Answering these questions is very improtant to improve the effectiveness of external communication and shape the national image.This paper takes The Times,the Guardia,China Daily as eaxamples , using the content analysis to measure seven variables:time, Centerpiece,information source,issues, orientation, rhetoric. At the same time,comparing the Chinese mainstream media framwork to wester one.Results showed that the mainstream media in China has no significant fra-ming effect on that of wester. There are obvious differences between them:the former is organized by relevance framwork and the latter is central framwork according to the report content; the former uses polynary and in-depth framwork and the latter is single , superficial framwork on the basis of the Reporting skill;the former maily uses mouthpiece Framework and the latter is journalistic professionalism according to the report concept.So atthe end,the paper propose three suggestions,including:broadcasting the content which is intrested by westermedia and foreign readers; enhance the depth of report and expanding the cov-erage; in order to Highlighting journalistic professionalism ,Lightening propaga-nda,and showing the independence of media.
