Comparative Study On News Frame Of The Belt And Road

It is a rare opportunity for China to build an international discourse right in ASEAN,it is absolutely necessary to study how Indonesia media and Singapore media portray Chinese policy OBOR.Furthermore,it is also crucial to compare the media representations in Indonesia newspapers and Singapore newspapers because these two kinds of papers may construct different worldviews toward OBOR.Local media are important sources in constructing how their nationals understand China image in general and Chinese policy OBOR in specific,also play a significant role in informing audiences.Framework theory is a common theory used in recent years to study the construction of national image and the structure of incident reporting.From the perspective of frame theory,the author studies the related reports of media since the concept of OBOR.The author uses content analysis method to analyze the reports.The research thinks ideology,national interest,media nature and news value have the important influence to news media frame construction of two kinds of media.The author puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the communication ability of Chinese media,such as excavated the traditional culture materials to cultivate cultural tolerance,use the dissemination of the ethnic Chinese,change the way of thinking for Chinese media to tell the OBOR story.
