Shanghai World Expo2010is an important event to not only the city of Shanghai,but also the whole China. Both the traditional media and the rising new mediareported about it largely. As one of the government’s mainchannels to speak, the TVnews has always been the representative of the official opinion. However, BBSs arestill the main platform for netizens to express themselves.The study is based on the analysis of TV news in Network News Broadcast andOriental News, and online posts on Qiangguo BBS and Tianya BBS during the certainperiods, related to Shanghai World Expo2010. Summarizing their very owndissemination characteristics due to their different positions, the study also doescomparative analysis on TV news and Online posts. And finally it concludes thespecial relationbetweenOfficialOpinionand Network Public Opinion in China’sunique national conditions.In the era of Globalization, the coexistence of national communication andglobalcommunication inChina causes the differences of China’s OfficialOpinionandInternet Public Opinion. This means that the internet has provided a new favorableopportunity for the people to speak out their opinions, and has become a new channelfor people to express themselves. The phenomenon of the coexistence of OfficialOpinion and Internet Public Opinion in spite of their differences, has demonstratedthat the inclusion of the Chinese government is increasing, which is really a goodsign.
