Data acquisition and processing system is widely applied in modern communications and measurement. The paper designs a real-time data acquisition and processing system that aims at the subject"Particle size distribution of phytoplankton in concentration measurement system"The system designs and realizes the fluorescent signal pulse width measurement and doppler signal spectrum computing functions. This system bases on the technology of FPGA and takes FPGA to be the main chip.It is connected with PC and uses USB , using the data processing function module to process the collection data that is transformed by AD.It transfers the processed information into the USB bus, thus the information is data analysis. This paper mainly describes the USB interface based on FPGA real-time data acquisition and processing system ,the related the FPGA module designing and a comprehensive simulation validation. this design main involves ADC , FPGA, USB interface scheme selection, using the Xilinx company's development tools ISE designed modules and carring on the comprehensive verification, the results of comprehensive was tested by ModelSim ISE self-contained simulation tools. This system uses Spartan3E Xilinx corporation's XC3S1600E as main chip, this chip has a relatively rich FPGA storage. we use IP core resources and hardware description language verilog modeling of development tools in ISE design FIFO, FFT operation, clock control DCM module, etc, then integrated simulation modules according to the overall structure of the system architecture will different modules organically. In this paper ,we use sine signals generated by a sine signal generator in ISE Crodic IP core as input, make simulation with ModelSim and simulation tools in ISE . We verified the design scheme by the analysis of the simulation results and achieve the final design purpose.
