Abstract: With the rapid development of semiconductor technology, theperformance indicators of the high-speed, high-precision and multi-channel dataacquisition system are rapidly improving. But in terms of design and application, themodern data acquisition system is still faced the problems that the design speed isdifficult to adapt to the rapid changes and the design features are fixed-function andpoor-versatility. Therefore, the studies on open, universal and hardwarereconfigurable data acquisition system have high application value for fast and opendesign of data acquisition system and reducing user’s costs.The study according to the common structural features of the modern dataacquisition system, using modular design concept and dividing modules by functionproposed a design of FPGA-based hardware reconfigurable data acquisition system.The design takes the advantage of the FPGA can be repeatedly re-multiplexedconfiguration feature and uses FPGA logic resources through a time-divisionmultiplexing, so that the discrete logic functions in the time can be sequentiallyachieved on the same FPGA. In which, configuration memory stores a variety ofconfigured data streams for different logic functions, communication interfacethrough receiving external commands controls the reconfigurable configurationprocess by the internal FPGA reconfigurable controller, and FPGA performsdifferent logic functions. Users only need simple configuration can achieve functioncustomization and platform compatibility, so it has important practical significancefor shortening user product development cycles and reducing development andproduction costs.This paper focuses on the contents are as follows:Firstly, the design of hardware overall solution was proposed by studying thecommon structural features of modern data acquisition system, and analysisingreconfigurable technology principle and research, and using FPGA with remoteupgrade configuration function to achieve logic functions reconstructedconfiguration.Secondly, the study according to the structural features of the universal and thehardware overall solution designs FPGA-based hardware reconfigurable hardwareplatform of the data acquisition system, complete system component selection andhardware circuit design, and writes generic Verilog module programs of ADCsampling control module, SDRAM read and write controller module and interruptcorresponding module.Thirdly, the study need design three kinds of communication Interface moduleof data address bus, USB and serial ports, and need design two kinds of engineering application logic function module of adaptive acquisition and thresholddetermination of pressure data and acquisition and spectral analysis of vibrationsignals, and realizes reconstruction of different logic functions configuration.Lastly, this paper shows the circuit debugging process of the FPGAreconfigurable configuration and data acquisition system.
