Design And Implementation Of Fixed Assets Management System For Universities

To strengthen fixed assets management and to keep and increase values of fixed assets have always been objectives that higher education institutions explore and achieve actively throughout the country. How to further accomplish "standardization, scientification and information" of fixed assets management in higher education institutions under advanced network environment is a major issue ahead of us. So are to bring benefits of capital utilization into full play and to better to pursue teaching, scientific researching and living.Generally speaking, as improvement of assets management and enlargement of assets scale, assets management is changing to a better state. Former assets management model, which is single and close management method as C/S model, cannot catch up with the rapid improvement of fixed assets management in higher education institutions. This system adopts advanced B/S management model and establishes new fixed assets management system and operation mechanism in higher education institutions.Firstly this thesis introduces related concepts of management information system. It illustrates the significance of system development and fixes methods on system development. It also establishes the system objectives and logic model of the system through systematic survey and demand analysis. This thesis makes an overall evaluation and lodges fixed assets barcode management which is leading fixed assets management nationwide. This system develops based on practicality of widely researching in fixed assets management system of higher education institutions and stresses on practical application effect. The system adopts Windows XP as its working conditions and ASP.NET as its developing platform. Background database adopts SQL Server database as developing basis. This research based on Web fixed assets management system achieves information sharing of fixed assets and increases the communication between consumers and administrators and broadens external exchanges. What's more, it improves working efficiency and management of state-owned administrative ministries in higher education institutions, and those improvements contribute to the inclination of standardization in state-owned assets management.After one year of practicing the system in the assets management division of Heilongjiang University, the system has completely changed the single and former close management model. The system is applied to the network of school authority so that it is easy and convenient to operate the system. In the meantime, the system also has long-distance inquiries and long-distance processing functions and perfects fixed assets management. The system plays an important role in the construction of assets management system which has three levels. The system leads the level and quality of business management to a new stage.
