With the continuous development of computer technology, information managementhas penetrated into all fields. How to use the computer system conveniently to storeinformation, and to make the university fixed assets management information-based, is themost important issue for many colleges and universities to be resolved at this stage. Thecurrent information management system makes use of computer technology, informationtechnology, management theory and control theory and combines with modern managementideas, methods and means, allowing the management of universities to carry on scientificmanagement and decision, reducing the waste of resources of fixed universities assets, andincreasing the reuse rate of Fixed Assets. This paper analyzes system process of Fixed AssetsManagement System in detail, and points out several existing problems of the managementof fixed assets in universities, and it also has made a thorough study of the need for thedevelopment of Fixed Assets Management System. In recent years, the J2EE (Java2Platform Enterprise Edition) technology platform hasbeen developed rapidly, and it also has become the norms and standards of the applicationand development of enterprises and institutions. The J2EE technology platform collectsservices, protocols and application programming interface, and the use of the technologyplatform can build a distributed multi-tier application, and it also provides high stability, highrobustness of service. In Web applications, the J2EE platform is logically divided into fivelevels, namely the client layer, presentation layer, business layer, persistence layer anddatabase layer. This architecture provides developers with a modular, component-baseddevelopment method. In view of characteristics of the J2EE technology, this paper uses Spring and Strutsframework in J2EE technology to develop the university fixed assets management system, and analyzes the drawbacks of the current university fixed asset management system, andaccording to the actual needs of the university, the system uses the MVC pattern to transferdata of pages and business logic. The system designs the every business logic class andconnects the database by using Spring JDBC to enhance the safety and stability of the system.Spring and Struts framework can be able to reduce redundant code and to improve thescalability and maintainability of the system.
