Embedded Home Video Surveillance System Based On PLC

Video surveillance has entered into the third stages,after decades of development history. In the past few decades,the video surveillance which can provide powerful security guarantee has been widely applied to many high security places,such as banks, military bases,etc.In recent years,the development of society makes people improve safety awareness,however,at the same time it makes people do not enough time to take care of the family.So,this paper designs a kind of embedded home video surveillance system which based on PLC,and realizes remote video monitoring.The main work of this paper is to study the history of video surveillance systems, research detailed development status,analyze the PLC principles and study the embedded technology. Furthermore,combine with the family characteristics and home modification, this paper uses power line carrier (PLC) technology, designes and realizes video surveillance under the home environment. This article focuses on the hardware structure design and the software implementation of the based PLC Embedded home video surveillance system. In the part of the hardware,this paper uses the S3C6410 (ARM11)processor chip,buildes the control and management module of the system, uses the third generation INT6400 and INT1400 HomePlug-based ICs to build the power line carrier module of the system to solve the problem of transmission bandwidth PLC and uses the 3G module which realize a remote video surveillance. In the part of the software,on the ground of Linux operating system, this paper setes up the embedded system software development platform and development environment, including the establishment of cross-compiler environment, configures system services, kernel configuration and compilation and porting U-Boot.In the part of the data transmission,this paper uses the HomePlug AV specification, modulates and demodulates the video data,according to the relevant communication protocol to transmit data.Experimental results showes that, the system designed by this paper has achieved the basic functions of video surveillance under the the home environment, and has the features of convenient pluging and playing The system has a strong practical value.
