W-band is an important window frequency in millimeter wave, the research for the technology of this band will be of a great significance. The performance of W-band technology have a wide gap with international. This article is based on the current situation, with W-band receivers, frequency conversion technology as the key object of study developed the detector and W-band W-band detector and tripler.Detector is a microwave, millimeter-wave devices commonly devices which can be integrated in the circuit and can be used as a separate monitoring device also. As the monitoring equipment commonly used in signal strength indicator, status monitor, automatic gain control; are often integrated in the vector network analyzer, transient microwave receivers, microwave remote sensing probes and other machine systems.This paper developed a center frequency of 94GHz, a bandwidth of 4GHz high sensitivity detector. The input port of detector is WR-10 standard rectangular waveguide, the output is SMA connector. The detector can be used in millimeter-wave pulse signal power monitoring and detection which has been used in high-power microwave effects 3mm experiment. with the input power of -10dBm, the detector tested in the center frequency of 94GHz the voltage sensitivity morn than 1400mV/mW.Meanwhile, simulate a center frequency of 94GHz, a bandwidth of 4GHz balanced detector by the use of the ring bridge. Relative to the single-tube detector, the balance detector has a good input matching, dynamic range, strong ability of anti-burning. Balance detector for high-power microwave pulse power experiments in terminal power testing has an important application value.Now, Millimeter-wave signal source can primarily get through two ways: one is the direct oscillation, including the vacuum electronic devices and solid electronic device. Vacuum electronic devices can have more high output power than solid electronic device, but it's inconvenient for use. Better than the life of solid-state devices in a vacuum device. The second way is indirect acquisition, by using high quality microwave signal obtained by octave the millimeter-wave multiple frequency technology can reduce the frequency of main vibration equipment, expanding microwave signal source working frequency,In this paper, by use the reverse parallel diode circuit structure of odd harmonic development circuit designed a W-band broadband tripler. The input port adopted the glass insulator, the output port is the WR-10 standard rectangular waveguides. Input fundamental signal frequency 25 ~ 36.7GHz , through W-band tripler can ouput 75 ~110GHz millimeter-wave signals. In practical test, the W-band tripler output power more than-13Bm in full-band, maximum output power more than 2dBm. In the 84 100GHz band range, output power is greater than-2dBm, conversion loss less than 23dB.
