Due to the limitation of power, calculation ability and communication bandwidth for WSN,the traditional wireless routing protocols are not suitable, and Cluster-based routing protocols are more robust and scalable, and are fit for large-scale WSN compared with flat routing protocols.the lifetime of network will be prolonged by designing a suitable routing protocol.Through the introduction of LEACH and other Energy-Efficient classic cluster-based routings proposed by now and the comprehensive performance of these sensor network routing protocols, It points out the the advantages and disadvantages, based on this, a new WSN protocol(ERPSC) which is used in much bigger network is proposed. In this paper, firstly,a ring-based network model is proposed.the monitoring area of WSN is divided into some concentric circles in this model, and the number of cluster-heads is calculated by minimzing the consumption of the energy of sensor nodes. In the aspect of choosing proper cluster-head which used the way of uneven clustering routings,it is determined by the energy of the node and the number of node involved in the management,clusters-head is built by competitive means, the radius of election of candidate cluster-head is determined by the number of rings from the base station, the radius of clusters-head which is far away from base station is smaller, and in this way can produce cluster of a reasonable size, and can solve the "the energy hot zone",in the multi-hop routing of inter-clusters,Clusters-head dynamically generates candidate routings according to the network state, the clusters-head which select the relay clusters-head node considers the cost of communication links, residual energy and the routings which can avoid through "the energy hot zone ", and then choose the best path according to the comprehensive weights.Simulation results show the ERPSC protocol which comparing with LEACH, EEUC can save energy and distributes the total energy consumption evenly in the large-scale WSN,consequently prolongs the lifetime of network.
