Scapulohumeral periarthritis, for whose shoulder pain and activities are the main symptoms of the common inconvenience, called periarthritis of shoulder. TCM called it "leakage shoulder Wind ", "frozen shoulder " etc. TCM hold that there are two factors which are the formation of the frozen shoulder:one is that internal factors which are frail, liver and kidney deficiency, blood deficiency; the other one is external wind cold dampness evil, trauma and chronic disorders. The disease is characterized by "three broad", that is widespread pain, function restricted widespread, tenderness wide. Clinical manifestations of its slow onset, longer course, the course is generally less than 1 year, may reach 1-2 years longer. The symptoms of patients with periarthritis of life and work can cause great impact, So to find out a feasible and effective methods to resolve the pain of patients with frozen shoulder has been brought to a hot research. PurposeThe topic under the guidance of TCM theory, combined with the current status of treatment of frozen shoulder,to surround waici treatments for scapulohumeral periarthritis and ordinary acupuncture treatments for scapulohumeral periarthritis as treatment group and control group respectively,by comparison of pain intensity and other symptoms that activity level, degree of cold and tenderness score level compared to explore feasible and effective method for treatment of frozen shoulder, to illustrate two different mechanisms and treatment of frozen shoulder therapy frozen shoulder the role of acupuncture:line of qi and dredging the pain, thus for clinical treatment scapulohumeral periarthritis provide real reliable basisMaterials and MethodsMaterials:Of March 2010-2011 TCM hospital in Hubei Province in March acupuncture clinic and ward patients who meet the criteria, select a total of 60 cases of periarthritis of the patients studied, to around 30 cases of acupuncture treatment of frozen shoulder (treatment group),30 cases of frozen shoulder treated with ordinary acupuncture (control group). Treatment group,11 patients were male,19 females, the youngest were 40 years old, maximum,65 years old and shortest duration of 60 days, the longest 1 year; control group, male 14, female 16 cases; the youngest,42 years old, maximum 67-year-old who, shortest duration of 30 days, the longest 1 year. After the two groups were generally statistically gender, age, disease duration and no significant difference (P> 0.05), data comparable. Methods:The treatment group using waici method acupuncture to get gas for the degree, the needle for 30 minutes, once every 10 minutes the line pin,1 day thorn,5 times for one course. A total of 3 courses,1 day of rest between courses; air control group, the needle was 30 minutes after the needle, needle once every 10 minutes the line, day 1 stabbed,5 times for one course of treatment. Treatment is the same to the treatment group. After five courses of treatment, pain intensity before and after treatment comparison, and other symptom scores were compared, the results were statistically analyzed.ResultTreatment of 18 cases were cured (60%), improved in 9 cases (30%), healed in 3 patients (10%), total efficiency of 27 cases (90%); control group,10 patients were cured (33%), improved in 12 cases (40%) healed in 8 cases (27%), the total effective rate of 22'cases (73%), acupuncture adverse reactions found after treatment, the Ridit analysis of clinical effects between the two groups was significant difference (p<0.05), show that the treatment group than the control group.Treatment group and control group before and after treatment in the treatment for pain, activity level and degree of tenderness scores were significantly different (p<0.05), note 2 therapy on pain, activity level and degree of improvement in tenderness were Significant effect; but the degree of cold was no significant difference (p> 0.05), it still can not believe that acupuncture for frozen shoulder around the cold symptoms better than those of ordinary acupuncture group. DiscussScapulohumeral periarthritis is a common clinical one, a good age at 50 years of age, the incidence of women than men. The subject of close clinical practice, the strict application of statistical methods, carried out around acupuncture treatment of frozen shoulder in the clinical observation, the result is around the efficacy of acupuncture treatment of frozen shoulder better than ordinary acupuncture, clinical symptoms of frozen shoulder Than ordinary acupuncture improved significantly, and no adverse reactions. Wai qi and blood circulation has acupuncture, meridians analgesic effect, a significant effect, is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
