Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Wind-cold-dampness Scapulohumeral Periarthritis By Alongside Acupuncture

Objective: To observe the difference of clinical efficacy between the method of alongside acupuncture and the method of ordinary acupuncture in the treatment of wind-cold-dampness periarthritis of shoulder.In order to provide more safe and effective method for treating periarthritis of shoulder.Methods: All of the 60 patients of wind-cold-dampness periarthritis of shoulder were included in the research group.Patients were divided into the treatment group that uses alongside acupuncture and the control group that uses ordinary acupuncture using the random envelope method,30 cases in the control group and 30 cases in the treatment group,who needed accept a course of treatment for 7 days,and all courses of treatment are 14 days.Pain score(VAS)and Constant-Murley shoulder joint function score and range of motion score(ROM)were used for evaluation of efficacy.To observe the degree of pain relief and the improvement of shoulder joint movement,and to compare the treament effect of the two methods on periarthritis of shoulder.Results: 2 of the 60 patients were shed(1 in each group),and each group had 29 patients.The conclusions are drawn after statistical analysis:1.Compared between two groups: VAS score,Constant-murley score and ROM score before treatment showed no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).2.After treatment,VAS score,Constant-murley score and ROM score were statistically different between the two groups(P < 0.05).3.The efficacy of the two groups was compared.After statistical analysis,there was significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).The total effective rate of the treatment group was 89.7%,and the control group was79.3%.Conclusion: All of two treaments are effective to treament the wind-cold-periarthritis ofshoulder,but the alongside acupuncture is better in relieving shoulder pain and improving joint function.
