Problems Of Development Of Institutional Repositories

Based on the summarizing of the basic theory of institutional repository, the article discusses the open and free, equality and freedom, individualized and humanization's basic core ideas about the development of institutional repository. Then according to the analysis and research of the institutional repository's theory and practice, from the guiding ideology, technical, legal, contents construction and sustainable development etc. which mainly influence the development of institutional repository to discuss how to develop the institutional repository , and put forward the new development strategy.The article is divided into five parts,Part 1: introduction, which briefly introduces the origin of study, research content and method, on the basis of this to illustrate the research objective and significance.Part 2: summarizing the institutional repository, which simply introduces the background of institutional repository and various definitions of it that experts and scholars defined, to understand institutional repository's implication and scope of content collection, at the same time, to sum up the characteristics and functions of institutional repository, to discuss the purpose and significance of constructing institutional repository, and to describe the basic thoughts of constructing institutional repository.Part 3: the theory and practice of institutional repository at home and abroad, which mainly summarizes the research progress about the theory of the institutional repository at home and abroad, analyses and statistics its construction situation and leads to the guiding ideology problems, technical problems and legal issues, the content construction and sustainable development etc which is discussed in detail in following through literature research and network research.Part 4 (including part 4-8) : which discusses the development of institutional repository's guiding ideology (including the ideas of knowledge management, humanistic ideas, information resource sharing thoughts and control theory, etc.), technical problems (including software problems, standardization and long-term preservation problems, etc.), legal issues (including the intellectual property rights and resource contents intellectual property violation of other laws and regulations, etc.), content construction problems (including collection and quality control problems, etc.), the issue of sustainable development (including the management, funds, service and the institutional repository alliance problems, etc.). The final part is peroration, which briefly summarizes the whole article, and gives the research results, research innovation and research prospects.
