With the rapid development of science and technology, the continues progress of Internet technology, especially a variety of modern forms of education,taking the web-wide application as representation, the network curricula has become a global trend .At the current stage, the high-tech Web-based course comes out one after another, which greatly promotes the development of network teaching. Among them, however, there are many network courses neglect the network design, which will have a direct impact on the ultimate effect of network teaching. This thesis digs deep into the status of current network curricula as well as the existing problems. And it also proposes the WebQuest design pattern as a network teaching design model, and explains how to carry out the design and implementation.WebQuest is a new type of inquiry teaching model, which reflects the teacher-directing and student-oriented relationship, reflects the integration of modern information technology and the school curriculum resources, and provides a direction and reference for the transitions of all levels of school education. WebQuest stands out that the study should be set to relevant background with meaningful questions scenario, and could make students learn the knowledge out of these questions through the interaction between the learners to solve real life problems, at the same time, gain the self-learning capability and collaborative ability as well as the ability to develop higher-order thinking.This thesis analyzes the applicability of WebQuest into network teaching. The use of WebQuest teaching model can effectively address the current shortcomings in the network course, such as the singleness of teaching mode, the network curriculum simply copies the content of traditional teaching ; neglect of teacher-student interaction, students could not gain instant direction and guidance in the process of learning teachers; too much emphasis on technology while neglecting the theoretical guidance of network curriculum design; rich learning resources contrary to lack of learning activities and so on. This thesis uses the subject called "Fundamentals of Computer Application," to illustrate the application of WebQuest for design and implementation. First, to conduct the WebQuest structural design of the overall framework of the course, and to divide the subject "Fundamentals of Computer Application" into two major design elements, namely, "learning content design" and "learning support environmental design." As for the part of the learning content design, using WebQuest instructional design model to analyze each stage study activities in the order of WebQuest's "Introduction", "task", "process", "resources" and "evaluation", and to illustrate the learning activities progress and reflection in the network curriculum. The third part is about the learning support environment. It includes the design and communication, evaluation and management module. All these provide the learners and teachers with the necessary accessibility tools. "Fundamentals of Computer Application," Online Course is concise, reliable, and basically achieves all the design features.
