WebQuest is a kind of course projects that Bernie Dodge of the state university of Santiago of U.S.A., etc. developed in 1995. WebQuest can be interpreted as"network special survey". Nowadays, though a lot of teachers have set up one's own WebQuest course webpage in the whole world, the students just browse these static html WebPages through the network browser, and teachers and students exchange one scarcely and interdynamically. The learning environment of conducting WebQuest still stays in web1.0.It not only lagged behind development the newest (web2.0) of the network technology, but also it is hard to achieve the goal proposed by the national new course reform"Ten One five"curricular projects, which is to bring up the students's creative thinking and problem-solving ability through inquiring learning, under the guidance of teachers. So, through design and realization of M-WebQuest(Moodle+WebQuest), this dissertation offered mutual and good environmental where WebQuest learning goes on, and it plays a promoting role in students' high quality learning and the professional development with the high-quality teacher under the environment of the network.This dissertation consists of three parts: literature summarization, activities module development, action research.In the part of literature summarization, at first through studying documents, the author found out the domestic and international research current situation about WebQuest, and then confirmed the research problem of a thesis through interviewing domestic WebQuest experts and teachers. After consulting Source of document further, the author defined WebQuest accurately from the theory aspect, and helped the teacher to establish the correct study view and course view in idea. In the part of the activity module development , at first the author analyzed the research current situation of the supporting environment to WebQuest learning both at home and abroad, and then introduced Moodle, including why choosing Moodle, what Moodle, systematic structure of Moodle, framework of Moodle platform and which characteristic and function Moodle has. And the author proposed that Moodle is to launching the necessary technology which studies the environment of WebQuest, and pointed out the weak point of Moodle forWebQuest learning. At last basing on the insufficient of Moodle, the author participated in developing the WebQuest activity module and combining it in Moodle.In the part of action research, after finding out teaching result based on WebQuest has not been studied at present domestically yet basically, firstly the author chose the suitable content of WebQuest together with the teachers, and designed the course with their cooperation in Moodle platform. Secondly the author assisted the teacher to implement it. Thirdly the author used the research methods, including the action research method, the classroom observe method, the interview method, questionnaire investigation method etc., to carry on the research about the teaching result based on M-WebQuest, expecting to put forward the effective suggestion on the teaching based on M-WebQuest. The author summarized a new kind of Project-basedM-WebQuest information-based teaching mode on the basis of practicing finally.
