With the rapid growth of internet information in the world, people can find information more convenient than before, but current information retrieval are based on keyword matching, so it can not understand the menaning of information resources and their relationships, the recall ratio and precision ratio is very low. To solve this problem, this paper presents an Ontology-based reasoning and concept extention method to improve search recall ratio, precision and intelligence, the main contents include:1. For the lack of traditional information retrieval, ontology-based research improve the traditional research system by using ontology to describe the level and relationship between concepts. This paper is based on the field of travel information research, using the Ontology engineering to construction a travel ontology.2. This paper presents a semantic concept extension algorithm, using the relationship between the concepts. Using the similar concept cluster to reasoning with Ontology. This method can improve the recall rate.3. This paper presents a combination method of semantic extension and reasoning retrieval model, Combine semantic extension with the Ontology reasoning, we can expand the research breadth and depth, improve the recall rate and precision rate, not only to solve the problem of semantic information loss, but also to provide users with intelligent tourism information research.4. Finally, This paper built a travel information retrieval system based on ontology. Combine with Jena framework, using the SPARQL query language to search the result. Compared with the result, we can find that OTRS provided more recall ratio and precision ratio than traditional search systems.and has the advantages of intelligent.
