| Information technology has brought great development to the insurance busi-nesses.However,with the development of information technology,the traditional IT infrastructure has been unable to meet the requirements of the insurance industry informatization.The data center of Guangzhou Branch of Pacific Insurance Company faces a variety of problems,such as complex system management,low resource uti-lization,long deployment cycle and poor investment return.In this paper,the virtualizaiton technology is used to solve those problems.The main work is as follows.Firstly,the problems faced in the data center of insurance industry are summarized.Also,we compare the virtualization with tradi-tional IT infrastructure.The virtualization has postive effect on information contraction in insurance industry.Secondly,the current situation of the data center in Guangzhou Branch of Pacific Insurance Company is analyzed.Meanwhile,the appli-cation system,hardware and other related information of the company are analyzed.The utilization rates of CPU and memory in each server are counted as well.Then the requirements for the company are summarized.Thirdly,the VMware vSphere is chosed to bulid the virtualization platform after comparing three virtual machine products from the aspects of deployment,high availability,compatibility and so on.Then the virtualization design and planning principles are made.After that the virtu-alization topology design is completed.During the process,the high availability,data backup and other factors are taken into consideration.In addition,the design of stor-age is completed as well.Forthly,relevant considerations are taken when the core components of WMware are set up.Also the overall implementation effect of the VMware virtualization platform is showed.What's more,the other relative experience is summarized.After completing the virtualization platform,the CPU and memory utilization of the company have great improvements.What's more,the number of servers is de-creased and the costs are saved.Practice proves that virtulization has positive effect on the information construction in data center. |
