As a result of the rapid development of electronic information technology in the 21st century, Electronic Technology Foundation becomes now one of the core courses of electronic information science and technology major for secondary vocational schools.Originated from Germany, behavior-oriented didactics, which promotes behavior-oriented and competency-based teaching mode and has been honored as a sharp tool for the vocational education of Germany, was the powerful booster for Germany's economic take-off after the World War II and is now considered as an advanced approach for vocational education around the world. While teaching, by guiding students' action and encouraging them to take part in class so as to arise students' learning interests, it aims to enhance students' team cooperation spirit and innovation thinking ability and to develop critical ability.This thesis expounds how behavior-oriented didactics is applied to the course design and teaching practice on Electronic Technology Foundation of electronic information science and technology major for secondary vocational schools, explores the application of the advanced teaching ideas of Germany to electronic information science and technology major for secondary vocational schools in China, aims at finding a more appropriate approach for the course design and teaching practice of electronic information science and technology major for secondary vocational schools, and cultivating applied talents in electronic information, which society needs urgently.As a member of electronic technology group of the project of China-Germany VTE teacher training, the author was honored to be invited to attend the 6-week (Oct. 28th-Dec. 9th, 2006) teacher vocational training in GroJ3-Gerau vocational school, Germany, where the Chinese teachers studied Germany's advanced vocational teaching ideas and methods. With years of teaching practice experience on electronic information science and technology major for secondary vocational schools, take Electronic Technology Foundation as research target, this thesis centers on the analysis and exploration of the introduction to the course. The author, with concrete teaching cases, elaborates how to practice behavior-oriented didactics in secondary vocational schools. The author also lists the improvement of the students after adopting the didactics and its problems and counter-measures.The research shows that the application of behavior-oriented didactics on Electronic Technology Foundation can boost the students' critical ability and cultivate secondary electronic engineers to better meet social needs. The author does hope that this research may make some contribution to the improvement of the teaching quality in electronic information science and technology major for secondary vocational schools in China.
