Nowadays the vocational schools are facing the great challenge of declining standards of students, therefore, their basic knowledge, learning attitude, learning skills and method and ability to explore are relatively unsatisfying. As a result, they can not meet the needs of the modern society.Based on the actual situation of vocational schools and characteristics of the computer science and vocational teaching practice, to explore its applications in computer teaching, learning circle in this research will be designed as"four circles, seven steps", and three stages will be applied to gradually transform traditional teaching method to learning circle.The paper is divided into five parts:The first part expounds the background and significance of the research, analyses the condition of vocational school, students and computer teaching; discusses how to improve educational reform and teaching method, mobilize the motivation to study, cultivate the ability to explore, summarizes the current study of learning circle, and most important, the content and research methods of this paper.The second part firstly states the researcher's cognition of learning circle model; then discusses its rationale and learning process; analyses the character of vocational computer teaching and six characteristics; and conducts a feasibility analysis of its applications in vocational computer teaching from four aspects: its theory, students, subjects and equipments.The third part analyses and designs the application of learning circle model in vocational computer teaching. Firstly, analyses the goals and principles of the learning circle model; and then states the thoughts to improve learning circle model, expounds the design of"four circles, seven steps"and illustrates the four steps of improved learning circle model; meanwhile, describes how to divide learning process into three stages to put learning circle model into practice.The fourth part, firstly confirms the experiment teaching project, two experimental classes and two contrast classes, then in a semester the experimental data will be collected and conducted, and a statistical analysis of the results will come into being. At the end of the semester, the grades, questionnaires, forms of evaluation and statistics of interviews will be conducted, and then obtains the experiment data related to students'knowledge acquisition, learning attitude and interest, ability and emotional attitude, and finally analyses the experimental results.The fifth part, states the experimental results and introspection on the process and the method to be helpful to the study and exploration in the future.This research is conducted between the experimental and contrast classes, mainly adopting the experiment, questionnaire survey and observation to study the effect of the learning circle model on secondary computer education. Experiments show that in the secondary vocational computer teaching the effect is obvious better than traditional teaching method. Conclusions are as follows: learning circles model helps to improve students'academic achievement, to stimulate students'enthusiasm and initiative, to correct study manner, to improve the students'learning habits, and to improve the students'ability to explore and cooperate, and at last, to build up the good world view and outlook on life.
