Radar simulation technology has a very important position in the research and development of the whole radar system.It can be said, Radar simulation technology is one kind of effective method which can save huge human and material resources and can promote the development of radar technology. It is also important that the research to the simulation of specific port navigation radar echo video signal.This kind of simulator aimed at generating the echo video signal which should be more in line with the actual working environment, and offering reliable navigation radar echo video signal source in the design, development and testing of the port vessel traffic management system.The model of port navigation radar system is simplified to the sum of the target echo,clutter and system noise.According to the port navigation radar target's characteristics,which contain the distance and direction,echo amplitude,the objectives of ups and downs,the objectives of sport mode,ships entering and leaving port has been modelling.Owing to the target ships have always been in motion and visual angle has been changing as well,its radar cross-sectional area fluctuate simultaneously.That's the objectives's fluctuation.Simulation of Sea clutter has always been the most important part of the radar system's simulation. Whether the clutter model is accuracy or not is an important criterion accessing the performance of radar signal simulations.Therefor, the theme focus on the intensive research on the sea clutter's modeling and simulation.The key technology to simulate the sea clutter is building up the sea clutter's mathematical model: sea clutter's the probability distribution of amplitude and power spectral model .Currently,the most populate approaches to produce the correlated random sequence are Zero Memory Nonlinearity ( ZMNL ) transform and Spherically Invariant Random Process(SIRP). According to these methods above, the sea clutter's simulation of Correlated Rayleigh, correlated LogNormal, correlated Weibull and correlated K clutter has been realized.In the end,the software simulation ,which named port navigation radar video signal simulator, including the dynamic interface and the control panel has been developed in the platform of Microsoft Visual Studio.Net,and the radar echo data containing the sea clutter and the noise is accomplished by Matlab.Actually, as the one of Matlab's accessory, Simulink modelling the radar echo data to generate the radar echo real-time data.Finally,it is called by the software platform to generate the radar echo video signal.
