| Radar simulator is the combination of digital simulation technology and radar technology which can generate radar echo signal to test the radar system without putting it in real test-flying environment. As the function of modern radar system becoming more and more complex, it changes more and more difficult to debug the each part of radar. Therefore, developing radar simulator for radar system seems more and more essential.Based on the special requirements of a pulse radar signal processor, we mainly discussed the realization of video echo signal of the targets, clutter and noise, design of scheme for the whole simulation system. The simulator can provide 9 channels of active and passive video signals in following four modes: automatic, manual, debugging and default. The simulating system is built based on PC, DSP and FPGA, in which targets parameters, clutter and noise are produced in PC, and real-time data processing and sequence control are realized in DSP and FPGA separately. The following issues are mainly discussed in the thesis:①Analyzing the data size and computing speed needed when generating the video echo signals according to the customer demand;②Hardware design, and functions of main chips and the interface between them are described in detail;③Data used to produce signal when system in different mode are stored into different partitions of FLASH to ensure data can be called correctly and quickly;④By building ping-pong buffer in DSP and using EDMA, high-speed data communication can be realized in parallel;⑤The development chart of DSP and application of key peripherals are introduced , completed program of DSP.⑥The production of signal in different mode are introduced in detail, and actual test signal are given; ⑦Given explanation and solution to problems during debugging the simulator.⑧Finished prototype debug. |
