Library Of Medicine Information Service System Based On Knowledge Management To Build

The emergence and development of Knowledge-based Economy makes knowledge to be the most important resources nowadays, therefore the knowledge management has rapidly been the focus of information and library science. As a professional library closely related with the medical practice, it is the basic task for a medical library to apply the theories, methods and skills of knowledge management into the information service, so as to satisfy the user's requirements of information and knowledge. At present many researches and explorations about these areas have been made in domestic medical libraries, but compared with the advanced level of foreign countries, we still have a long way to go.Applying many methods such as document review, expert consultation, comparison analysis, synthetic induction and example research, this article has drawn lessons from the successful knowledge management experiences of the libraries at home and abroad, comprehensively analyzed the application fields and scope of knowledge management in medical library's information service, initially proposed the function, content and overall framework of a knowledge-management-based medical library's information service system, and further suggested the measures and ways to construct such system. This article is for reference for the domestic medical libraries.The main text contains five parts:The first part is basic theory research, to explain the intension of knowledge management, analyze the relation and connection of knowledge management and library, knowledge management and information service, knowledge management and medical library information service. This part lays foundations for the next discussion.The second part is lesson research, to draw lessons from the libraries especially the medical libraries at home and abroad, learn from their application experiences of knowledge management in information service, and briefly predict the future development trend.The third part is research about a knowledge-management-based medical library's information service system, to define the definition of such system, analyze the intension and function of the system, propose the framework and content of the system, and discuss the connection of framework content and function requirement.The forth part is construction measure research, to analyze the purpose, principle, and method to construct a knowledge-management-based medical library's information service system, and further suggest the construction strategy.The fifth part is example research, to discuss the present situation of the PLA military medical library information service.
