RFID technique is regarded as one of ten most valuable techniques in the century. At present time, RFID technique has been widely used in various areas. With the development of RFID technique, low cost and single-chip integrated RFID reader is tendency. This paper presents a single-chip integrated solution for RFID digital baseband controlling system which is an important part of RFID reader. The research is meaningful in theory and practice and it is the basis for the further single-chip RFID reader research.Firstly, the paper designs RFID digital baseband controlling hardware system based on EPC Global Class-1 Gen-2 protocol. The whole system includes RFID baseband and DSP controller. The RFID baseband includes Tx and Rx two data path which can realize the encoding and sending of PIE code, decoding and receiving Miller code as well. The DSP controller has 7 stages pipeline, 64k memory space, program address generator, data address generator, executing unit, interrupt system, instruction controller and dynamic scheduling controller.Secondly, the paper designs the communication protocol for RFID baseband and DSP controller which is using four phase asynchronism hand shaking way for the transition of data. The paper also designs the software for DSP controller which includes physical part and top part. The software which can be easily upgraded is able to control the protocol instruction flexibly.Finally, the paper designs the verification platform for RFID digital baseband controlling system. Using the simulation result of CCS2.0 software integrated environment as the contrast object, the paper debugs the hardware code. After that, all RTL codes are synthesized and downloaded to FPGA to finish the hardware verification.
