In recent years,the radio frequency identification?RFID?technology is rised rapidly.The RFID technology is a non-contact communication,automatic identification technology via antenna coupling.Compare to other bands,the ultra high frequency?UHF?band RFID system has its own advantage such as longer identification distance,reading or writing a tag more faster,lower cost on tag and smaller size on tag's antenna.So it is more suitable for the use on logistics management.And it provides a way for the achievement of the future“Internet of Things”.Therefore,the development of the UHF RFID system has become a focal point in the RFID system development.The research on UHF RFID technology also has a far-reaching significance.This paper introduces a design of UHF RFID reader digital baseband circuit that fulfills the requestment of both ISO18000-6C protocol and GB/T29768-2013 protocol,and making a detailed interpretation of the two Urlta High Frequency air-interface protocol,analyzing the design principle of the UHF RFID reader digital circuit and the way to implementation the circuit.Based on the work done before,we implement a prototype based on the ZYNQ platform,and finish the design of chip-layout and its'simulaton.The major work and achievement is as bellow:1.Intruducing the development of UHF RFID technical researches around the world,and making a comparation of the most critical protocol of the UHF RFID air-interface.2.Based on the protocol of UHF RFID air-interface ISO18000-6C and GB/T29768-2013,and refers to the commercial UHF RFID reader Indy R420,drawing up the characteristics and schemes of the digital circuit of UHF RFID Reader which is researched in this paper.3.Based on the schemes,making a simulation of the digital circuit of UHF RFID Reader chip and based on Xilinx ZYNQ FPGA making a prototype of RFID Reader and having test on it.4.This paper propose a digital PLL circuit which can synchronise the received symble and local clock rapidly,meanwhile this paper propose a way to expend the dynamic range of the reader's receiver refers to the way of RSSI.5.After finish the working of UHF RFID reader prototype researches,this paper making a synthesis,timing analysising,circuit simulation,place and route based on TSMC 0.18um CMOS library,and finish the layout of digital circuit of UHF RFID reader which support ISO18000-6C and GB/T29768-2013.With the development of the 5th generation communication technology in our country,the technology of IOT is maturing,and the application of IOT device is more and more popular.As an important composition of IOT,there is no one UHF RFID Reader is designed which is highly integrated and with low cost.So in this paper we implement the prototype of UHF RFID Reader and the design of digital baseband circuit layout of the UHF RFID Reader chip.Meanwhile integrated with the RF layout which is designed by our lab,we realized a design of a highly integrated,low cost and fulfilled both ISO18000-6C and GB/T29768-2013 standard UHF RFID Reader chip.This design filled in the gap of technology in the field of UHF RFID,and it has great significance on the development of UHF RFID application and popiularization in our country.
