In the globalization age, with the continuous dissipation of the material power which centered on military power, the national image, as one of the soft power, became more important than before and became the focus of international competition. So, as for all the country in today's world, establishing a good national image has already become an important way to live in the globalization age. Meanwhile, such advantage of internet as fast, hyper-linked and cross-border makes many country in the world realize that in the new era, internet is a convenient, fast, high efficient and practical way to communicate national image. So, communicating national image by internet has become the consensus of many countries in the world. In our present country, an internet system ,which include 8 important websites owned by the central government and 31 websites owned by the provincial government, has been constructed。But these important news websites also faced with such problems as media ecology imbalance, positioning the national image inaccurate, lacking of content and credibility, upgrading technology slowly. These problems lead the important websites to the crisis of being marginalized. This thesis, on the basis of analyzing the pattern of the internet system (mainly the important websites), comprehensively explore the media ecology of important news websites; try to find the problem which interfere with the important websites development. In this thesis, I will put forward the strategies of communicating China national image by internet from four aspects: to position the national image accurately, to clarify the responsibility of main body, to subdivide international audience and to construct the credibility of internet media.
