Pulse Generator is a commonly used device in electronic technology area, which could generate or simulate signals. Besides being used as source of signals,it's also used for testing or adjusting other electronic device's linearity and stability. The waveform generating part, as the core of Pulse Generator, gives digital waveforms output in different working modes.Based on the research and development of Pulse Generator, especially the urgent needing of high-speed Pulse Generator, this dissertation gives a doable method in the research on generation of pulse waveforms by processing the project named"High-Speed Pulse/Pattern Generator"to generate pulse waveforms with adjustable parameters.Briefly speaking, the main work of this dissertation includes:1. Introducing the generation of pulse waveform's flow and design method; Plotting out the main module and their function for design.2. Using the clock generation board to generate main clock for the modules which generate pulse signals; Meanwhile Designing and realizing the synchronous clock for counting when pulse wants to be delayed.3. Using FPGA to generate pulse waveforms in given working modes and its delays.4. Using the programmable delay chips outside of FPGA for realizing the work of pulse's delay and pulse width's adjustment.
