College computer basic education plays an important role in popularizing computer knowledge and information technology and in spreading the computer application. In order to adapt to the high- speed development of Chinese economy, higher education has become popular education from elitist education and college computer education is facing new situation and task. College computer basic education is a most main channel in raising students'information accomplishments, enhancing computer application skills and developing their specialized abilities for colleges.For a long time, most teachers continue to use the traditional teaching way——"While the teacher explaining and demonstrating, the students are listening and imitating",which lacks innovative ideology.Also,the teaching way does not suit the curriculum's characteristics,the inspection appraisal way is unreasonable, and the course contents are all the same .These reasons make the students lack enough interest and attention in basic computer curriculum.Therefore,it's a huge project on how to raise the college students'computer operation skills and train them to solve the actual problems in daily study,work and life.Because basic information technology education has been developed in primary schools, students'computer levels have been obviously developed than before; as computes have been widely used, the college students'need for computer knowledge is enhancing little by little.College computer basic education is facing some new problems, mainly incarnating in the following aspects:first, because of the IT courses in primary schools, college students have more understanding about computer knowledge, and thus ending the"zero-jumping-off"history of college computer basic education; second,as a result of the zone diversity of Chinese economic development, the diversity of college computer basic exists; third,the information technology developing at very fast speed, the content of the computer basic education should be updated continually;fourth, with the innovation to Chinese higher education, the periods and credit hours of computer basic education have been compressed. Based on the analysis about college computer basic education status quo in our country and the status quo and problems of computer basic education in Dezhou University , the paper analyzes the factors that affect the computer basic education's development in Dezhou University and brings forwards the measure and countermeasures. This paper consists of four parts.The first part, it sets forth the research background of the paper and the research status quo of the information education home and abroad, analyzing the significance of researching and innovation to the college computer basic education.The second part, based on the result of the questionnaire investigation about the computer basic education in 53 universities which was initiated by the National Computer Basic Education Seminar, gathering and analyzing the questionnaire investigation.The third part, it analyzes the status quo of the computer basic education in Dezhou University and finds the problems which affect the development of the computer basic education.Aimming at the problems analyzed in the third part, it brings forwards the measurs and countermeasures to improve the computer basic education in Dezhou University in the fourth part.
