Design And Implementation Of The Meter Reading Management System For Weihai Power Supply Company

With the development of information technology, the meter reading of power-supply industry is also stepping forward to the information.However,the meter-reading staffs of Weihai power company still use traditional manual meter-reading method,which increase the labor intensity of staff, nor timely and accuratly recording power degree. So Weihai Power company’s present focus is to develop meter-reading management system that can import and export user remote meter degrees. The application of the management system will put the power meter reading on a new face, get rid of the tedious work of the past.The meter reading management of Weihai Power Company uses advanced technology and scientific management methods, whice improve the enterprise management level and efficiency, and liberate of the hands of labor staff.According to the actual situation of the power company in Weihai, we decid to use Java language as the system development language, which has the advantages of object oriented.The using of three-layer structure that include the J2EE presentation layer, the business layer and the data layer ensure the stability of the system.The excellent MVC design pattern is adopted.AS for the function block structure,we use the widely adopted Spring+Struts+Hibernate framework.Finally we use the SQL Sever 2014 database,which runs more stable and maintaining a relatively high level of service.Weihai power supply company is complete in the functional design which achieve the meter-reading segment management, meter-reading machine management, meter-reading plan management, meter-reading exception management.The meter-reading segment management achives the request and approval of meter-reading segment’s maintenance,the meter-reading segment’s allocation for new user,the adjustment of user’s request and approval,the application of information inquiry, the meter-reading personnel’s dispatching application and dispatchingapproval.The meter-reading machine management realize the information maintenance of meter-reading machine,the grant and return of meter reading machine.The meter-reading plan management achieves the formulation of meter-reading plan,the meter-reading data’s preparaion,upload,download,input and check,and the computation and check of electricity tariff.The meter-reading exception management achieve meter-reading exception handling and manual meter-reading management.Through the design and development of the meter-reading management system,Weihai City Power Company has made Great progress to information, the system will bring an unprecedented feeling to managers, more convenient and easy to use, give workers more working space.The use of automated information instead of manual has improved the meter reading work efficiency.
