Automatic radar detection system usually combines automatic radar detection with CFAR (constant false alarm rate) technology to obtain predictable detection performance and constant false alarm rate in changeable clutter environment. For more than twenty years, CFAR processing technology develops into one of the hottest research field and the most pivotal subject in the field of radar signal processing in the world. In addition, to control false alarm rate, CFAR technology becomes the most important measure and plays an extremely important role in automatic radar detection system. Firstly this dissertation analyses the characteristic of the data transmission and CFAR algorithm in the subject synthetically and then gives a CFAR processor design which realizes CFAR processing with FPGA technology. Secondly, this dissertation offers systemic structure which comprises four parts, as follows: CFAR algorithm processor, data transmission, data buffer, and CPCI bus. Then, this dissertation designs a data transmission protocol, and introduces the design and implement of system hardware, FPGA programming and simulation of the core processing modular in CFAR processor. Finally, this dissertation introduces diver development of CPCI and test of system hardware, and analyses the result.
