After reform and opening-up, big change has taken place in medium area; life service newspapers catch good opportunity and develop rapidly. Life service newspaper is a new developing media product, it has great growth space. In the latest 12 years, life service newspapers emerge in an endless stream in every large city, new members join frequently. Because of different urban culture characteristics and different market environments, life service newspapers unavoidably have some difficulties and existing problem. Until today, these questions are particularly conspicuous.On one hand, life service newspapers face fierce market competition. On the other hand, life service newspapers has already entered mature period of development. Although most life service newspapers still keep the absolute value of growth, but growth rate drops. So at present the most important thing is to keep sustainable development of life service newspaper.According to current development situation, the author analyses two typical life service newspapers, actively explores the existing space of life service newspaper and development trend. For example, return to mainly on information of the news and practical information; subdivide the market and readers accurately; compete in different ways and accomplish brand survival; innovate, expand new space, adapt to the market; take fashionable way and lead the trend.Life service newspapers should explore better operation pattern .The author thinks the development trend and feasible implement route of life service newspapers as follows: elegant fashionable magazine, the daily newspaper, and the weekly magazine, multi-media pattern.
