In the modern age, people enjoy the advantages coming from the information technology. At the same time, all kinds of problems of information security appear. Those methods which are used to identify someone's status according to his marker or knowledge have been limited . Thereby, some new techniques based on biological characteristics, especially the fingerprint identification, have been developed quickly. One of the applications of fingerprint verification is to make auto fingerprint identification system ( AFIS ). In this paper, a system is established, which consists of six parts, that is, management portion (including C6711B DSP and memories), input channel(used to sample fingerprint image), output channel(USB), communications between human and machine (LCD and keyboard), debugger(JTAG), power manager and supervisor. The system is applied. The key of this system is the chip of C6711 DSP of TI. It owns powerful capabilities of processing datum. It can execute varieties of tasks, which are required by fingerprint image processing algorithm, and is fit for the demand of real-time. The principal point to design hardware system is the application of programmable EMIF. Using this function, EMIF can interface with all sorts of devices with different timing. Another outline is the simulation of C protocol which is implemented through GPIO. Thus, the system can communicate with some C slaves. On the other hand, this paper describes the chart of system software and the flow chart of datum transmission of C . In the end, it describes the work contents in the future.
