EMIF is the infterface on TMS DSP. Generally, EMIFcan realize the connection between DSP to different types of memories(SRAM, Flash RAM, DDR-RAM, etc). EMIF connect with FPGA, which can enable FPGA platform act as a co-processor, high-speed data processor or high-speed data transfer interface.With the advent of the era of high-speed, signal integrity problems have been plaguing each engineer. Although the realization of signal integrity of EMIF is not that difficult like traditional high-speed signal, like: DDR2, DDR3, QPI, PCIE, USB2.0, USB3.0. But in communication boards, with the series of DSP on EMIF interface increases, the PCB trace lengths becomes longer and longer(board size becomes bigger and bigger), the deterioration of electromagnetic environment on the entire board, it’s very necessary and urgent to research the signal integrity of EMIF, which is the significance of the thesis.The thesis briefly introduces the basic concepts and properties about EMIF, related concepts of signal integrity(SI), basic theory about transmission lines. With detailed expounds how to use Hyperlynx and IBIS models to get simulation of EMIF, establish its topology, eventually realize on PCB and compare with the measured results.
