Broadband Wired Access Technology Fttx Design

The durative development of data service makes the ISP build the new generation Broadband Metropolitan Network. How to satisfy the fast development of Access Network, especially the development of Ethernet Access Network (FTTX+LAN), is one of the most urgent problems in the construction of Broadband Metropolitan Network. Passive Optical Network (PON) and Active Optical Network (AON) are two kinds of technologies that can be used to construct the Optical Access Network. However, The PON has not been fully developed and the cost is also very high before the large-scale use. The main technology that is used to construct the Optical Access Network is AON (Active Optical Network). The article frist introduces the structure, classification and multiplexing technologies of OAN. The combination of cable access network is also discussed. Then TDM-PON (APON and EPON) and WDM-PON are expounded in the aspect of network structure, frame structure and the key technologies to be solved. Finally, the system design of FTTX based on Motorola processor MPC850 is concerned about. The control and switch block, the principle of PECL interface and BSP are all fully discussed.
