In the experiment of Advanced Aircraft Electrical Power Distribution System (AEPDS), Terminal Built-in Test Equipment (TBTE) is one of the most important equipments, which can not only simulate all remote terminal loads' work-states, but also monitor the buses' power quality. So the equipment is schemed out to simulate the work-state of AEPDS, according to the in-out signals of every Solid-State Power Controller (SSPC) and the stochastic voltage and current of buses. The top-down design method is adopted in the design. Recurring to the technology of CPLD/FPGA, via the Hardware Description Language, the equipment simulates some SSPCs and the work-state of buses. Besides, as a critical component in the system, owning to DSP's great task scheduling ability, DSP makes all the tasks work well. On the other hand, depending on the great communicational ability, a Windows-based friendly intercommunicating interface is designed. In the course of the design, critical technologies are applied, such as Digital Phase-Locked Loop, Fast Fourier Transform Algorithm, Universal Asynchronous Receiver & Transmitter, and so on.In the project, as a important component, the module of monitoring the buses' power quality takes a long time. After consulting many literature and papers, the system adopts FFT algorithm to do Harmonic Analysis with the thought of VLSI design technique. Besides, the module can communicate with DSP by two modes: parallel and serial. Thus this module can work solely, and is convenient to connect with other system to increase the ability of the existing system. Now the equipment has been completed. The result of the experiment shows that the system works well, and achieves all the aims successfully.
