From The Erp To The Ames - Of Southwest Airlines Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Systems Implementation

Airvraft Maintenance&Engineering System(abbreviate it to AMES) is a large project in China Southwest Airlines.It was imported from a ERP product - MOVEX developed by a Sweden software company named Intentia. The system is being implemented and used in maintenance business department of CSWA. Being one of the persons in charge,the author has taken part in all the activities of project stages .The thesis "From ERP to AMES---Expounding the Implementation of CSWA's AMES",is based on the project and emphasis on how to form a practical maintenance and engineering system of aviation from a standard ERP system.First of all the thesis summarizes the basic theory and current application situation in China. Secondly, the thesis analyses the present IT situation in business department, bringing forward the necessity and correctness of buying MOVEX. Thirdly, it describes the method to implement MOVEX, the major functions and modules, the phases of project and steps of building system information. Fourthly, it points out the problems existing during implementation and the ways to solve them. Finally, it generalizes the benefit bringing about to business department after running AMES and describes the technical environment of system. This is the first time to implement a integrated maintenance&engineering system in domestic airlines. The successful experience will be used by aviation industry. It has a good prospective.
