Snmp-based Computer Network Management Theory And Realization

Computer networks become more and more important in all social fields. With the scale of computer network being enlarged and the architecture of computer network complicated, a powerful computer network management system is required to carry out all kinds of computer network management tasks and ensure the computer network to work efficiently and steadily.This paper discusses the problems of computer network management architectures, arranging from the common architecture to the special architecture. In the description of the common architecture, we use information model, organization model, communication model and function model. For the special architecture, we mainly describe the main components of architecture based on Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), including the Structure of Management Information (SMI), the Management Information Base (MIB) and the Simple Network Management Protocol.Based on our experiences in the project of Computer Network Layout and Management CAD System, this paper demonstrates the analysis and design of the project and its implement procedure and method. The emphasis of the discussion is put on the implement of computer network management system based on SNMP architecture. In the section of the analysis and design, we describe the general aims, the division of the function models, the requirements of the function models, the architecture of the system model, the design of the relational database tables and the MIB management objects used in computer network management based on SNMP.
