Space Solar Telescope (SST) is lauchen on the space orbit outside atmosphere of earth, through which we can observe sun in wide frequency spectrum and continuous time with high space resolution and high tempera! resolutio in order to get important breakthroughs in solar physics and provide important proofs and new technology for space forecasting. After SST is launched, it will provide important new technologies for our country's space-flight application and do great for improving world's space science and space flight with great effects.Science Processing Unit (SDU) of SST is responsible for huge data high speed collecting, compressing, coding and storing with high reliable fault-tolerating technology. SDU's successful researching and building is a new problem with high difficult.SDU's Pre-Processing unit (PP) is responsible for improving Signal and Noise Rate (SNR), compressing data and processing stockes parameter. Data from 16 CCDs of science instruments are processing within PP, and then sending to others SDU unit.This article used advanced and popular Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) to improve image quality, 50:1 of data compressing and processing stockes parameter. This paper mainly descript SDU's data analyzing, requirement analyzing, working analyzing, device selecting, using VHDL programming, simulating in developing system, making PCB, programming device and testing. At last PP met the requirement of design.
