Imaging detection of targets in complex background,especially the recognition of false targets under low visibility,has become a key topic for research institutions at home and abroad.The traditional imaging detection technology mainly uses the imaging sensor to capture the intensity information of the target.When the radiated light of the detected target passes through the complex background environment,its intensity information will be attenuated in varying degrees,so that the traditional imaging detection system can not recognize the target effectively.The polarization imaging detection technology can not only capture the intensity information of the detected target,but also detect the polarization information in the target radiation.We will get the highlight image of the undetectable target under the complex environment,if we use the the image processing technology to process the image information,that can improve the recognition ability of the imaging detection.In this paper,Stockes vector mathematical description polarized light and the basic principle of Stockes vector polarization imaging detection are studied,from the polarization state of polarized light,and designed the scheme of the simultaneous polarization imaging system based on FPGA.Designed the optical system of the polarization imaging system and the polarization image acquisition and processing system of the FPGA,which include the hardware and software on FPGA.At last,the polarization imaging detection experiments are carried out under different background conditions.Through the analysis of the detected image obtained by the experiment,it shows that: FPGA polarization imaging system has simple structure,small volume and fast running speed,can effectively improve the target and background contrast,and enhance imaging detection ability of targets under the condition of complex background environment,such as raining,snowing or fogging.
