Traditional VLSI CAD system is focus on single designer,designers using such system have trouble in sharing design data with other designers and need much more modification,product design cycle is long.Such system can not adapt to network times in product innovation and development.While CAD system in distributing co-design enviroment can get over traditional barriers,it's compositive, parellel, systemic and harmonious.Beginning from CSCW theory,this thesis analyse the advantage from using CSCW and the character of distributing VLSI co-design, propose a web-based network platform for VLSI remote co-design.The platform aims at VLSI co-design through providing cooperative network enviroment.Main functional modules in the system are implemented with focus on VLSI design.Using effective information and project-flow management,the system provides high-efficient cooperative enviroment.The system structure is Browser/Server 3 distributed layers. System uses COM technology to extend the function of the server side,uses SSL technology to ensure data transmission secure through the intemet.In this thesis,! try the best to think over the server secure safeguard.Using this network platform,the designers,testers,manufacturers,packagers and customers can do real-time high-efficient cooperative work.By project-flow management the system provides,the whole VLSI design can be more efficient,time to market can reduced,and the products and the companies can be more competitive in the market.
