| Guided by CSCW theory, work flow, and groupware technology, this thesis is focusing on the research and design of the CSCW-based CAI (Computer Aided Instruction) system in Xuzhou College of Industrial Technology. The CAI system uses SQL Server database and has been designed by JAVA. It is composed of the following sub-systems: the computerized class schedules supporting multiple people operating on line, the co-operative teaching plan making, the co-operative multimedia courseware making, the electronic whiteboard, and the immediate communications.The research and design of this thesis contain the following aspects:◆The discussion of CSCW theory and workflow theory, their application at home and abroad, and their prospects.◆The general structure of CAI system and its sub-systems which are designed according to CSCW theory and workflow theory.◆The algorithm design of the computerized class schedules that is mainly talked about. The class schedules algorithm is put forward based on graphic theory.◆The design and implementation of the bottom layer network communications. It is necessary for the information to be sent to many nodes and point-point data transmission, in order that the members of the group could share information co-operatively in real-time. On the other hand, since different data have different requirements for the reliability and time sensitivity, the bottom layer data can be transmitted in two ways: connection-oriented and connectionless.◆The research and design of concurrency control. The system has analyzed the aim, the control method and the conflict detection method of concurrency control in CSCW system and put forth the proper way of concurrency control for this system.◆The research and design of the way of co-operation management. The system has analyzed the way of co-operation management and put forth the proper management mechanism for the CAI system.◆The research and application of IP multicast technology and reliable multicast technology. |
