Application Of CSCW In OA

Along with the development of computer and network technology and their application in the military realm, the form and content of military war are being changed from the contest of troops weapon to whole battle system, the modality of war in the world is being transformed from mechanized war toward information-based war. New military change in world is quickly progressing, the national army realization with information-based arouse mechanization, promote with the mechanization the information-based strategic mission is increasingly urgent. In order to adapt to the new change, the national army is developing information-based construction transnormally. Computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW), as an important part of information-based construction, can support group collaborating in network across the limitation of time, space and region, thus it will greatly improve the efficiency of official business-handling, training, commanding and battle.The CSCW system is a newly arisen research realm and direction. Being an important aspect of the CSCW application realm, cooperate office will develop along with the calculator technique and the calculator network technical development quickly, will be transition toward many computers cooperative working by the single computer system necessarily, these is the inevitable request of mankind cooperation characteristics in the social activity.In this paper, we firstly summarized the new military change and its influence on army information-based construction, and the status of CSCW application in military OA system, and the requirements of cooperative OA system for military in new situation was also analyzed. Then, the feature, key techniques and structure model of CSCW system were introduced.
