Currently, all levels medical and health institutions had built up their business information systems in accordance with their requirements. However, these information systems, due to different construction time, manufacturers, techniques, and more importantly, are short of uniform technical standards. Furthermore, all of the existing information systems run independently. Moreover, the data cannot be shared, and the business process cannot be automatically linked, which brought out a lot of information silos. Therefore, current systems are not able to meet the requirements of continuous processes in health care activities.In this thesis, I studied data exchange and sharing related technologies such as middleware, Web-Service, adapter, and the message transfer mechanism. Then I proposed a medical and health service data sharing and exchange system based on SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and ESB (Enterprise Service Bus). Both architecture and the function of each module are presented. The main contents of this thesis are listed as follows:1. The architecture based on SOA data sharing and exchange is designed.2. The data produced and to be sharing in medical business systems are investigated. Then according to the patient identification cross referenced standards of IHE (Integrated Healthcare Enterprise), the main index of the data exchange and sharing is designed.3. The basic solutions of data access adapter which can access ESB bus of exchange system is designed, and a database and Excel adapter based on XML is implemented.4. The scheme from quick access of service bus to standard output of ESB bus are designed and implemented based on data adapters.5. A loose coupling of data transmission system is implemented by messaging middle ware which provides a transparent framework for information issue.The test results of the system show that the performance of the proposed system can meet the requirements of daily business data upload for health institutions. And can be, correctly and stably used in high concurrent and in large quantities data environment.
