With the rapid development of computer technology, Internet technology and communication technology, these technologies have a wide range of applications in the medical field. Hospitals gradually establish many medical information systems, such as electronic medical record system, hospital management information system, laboratory information system,and picture archiving and communication systems. Most of these medical information systems developed by different companies at different times using different techniques are heterogeneous.This leads to above systems can not directly exchange data and share information each other,which causing the "information island" phenomenon, restricting the fully use of medical information resources, limiting the development of the medical and health services. The problem of data exchange among heterogeneous medical information systems is studied. The main work and achievements are as follows:1. By the thought of service-oriented architecture, this thesis proposes the solution of medical data exchange platform, which based on enterprise service bus(ESB). The heterogeneous medical information systems do not need to communicate with each other directly,which access the data exchange platform as a service instead. The communication protocol conversion, data format conversion, message routing between the healthcare information systems are completed by our data exchange platform. The solution of data exchange platform avoids the problem of high coupling degree and hard to expand from medical information systems, which caused by conventional point-to-point solution.2. In this thesis, the key technology of medical data exchange platform is designed. Then,the design of message specification and interface, the design of message main process, the design of logging process, the design of exception handling process, the design of data format conversion, and the design of data security are discussed in detail. The method of static registration of service is improved by the proposed platform. The proposed method of dynamic registration improves the efficiency of service registration.3. In this thesis, a prototype system of medical data exchange platform by softwares including Mule ESB and Eclipse is built. Then, a typical CT examination case between theelectronic medical record system, the radiation information system and the hospital management information system is given to verify the effectiveness of the prototype system.The medical data exchange platform based on ESB achieves effective integration between medical information systems, reduces the coupling degree of the different systems, improves the scalability of the systems, and provides data support and technical support for the sharing of medical data in the hospital, region, and even the whole country.
