A Study On The Strategic Model And Problems Of Urban Library Management In China

The city library is an important part of the public library,The city library have very important responsibility in the development of public library.Since the new century, our country have focused on public cultural development, under the guidance of the government policy, the public library have into the spring of development, in this process the city library also obtained in a good development moment, the culture behind the prosperity is the baptism of the development of library cause and challenges. New environment requires the library must make change, and the essence of business strategy is change and innovation, so it is conform to the requirements of the development of public library in the current situation. The city library’s special position need they must be walk in the forefront of the innovation,therefore the city library should be constantly developed and improved strategy management to cope with various challenges.At the present the city library have a good momentum of development, the city library are exploring the new path of development, and combining with the characteristics of its own development has gradually formed a few big service brand, such as Hangzhou, ShenZhen, Foshan, Jiaxing, Suzhou, etc. So it is necessary to summarizes our city library strategy management successful experiences and existing problems.In this paper, the research content is the city library strategy management,mainly includes the theoretical research of library strategy management,the city library management pattern and its problems existing in the practical research, and make some measures to improve this study. This study on the basis of the case analysis to summarizing the present stage our country city library strategy management, to build the city library management strategy theory foundation, and make the city library strategy management summed up as four models, namely break "hedge" a complete coverage of urban and rural integration, the system of public cultural services,the city library management innovation and exploration and innovation city library social function, through the typical case studies, summed up the city library strategy management for the key factors,summarized problems in current city library strategy management, such as not obvious, unbalanced development, imperfect management mechanism and coordination mechanism. Finally from four point of view such as the government level, the city library industry level, the library individual level and city library management practice level to puts forward some ideas of perfecting.
